FAIRMONT Bone Dish ~ HTF Syracuse Piece

$25.00

This piece is one of the hardest to find in restaurant ware.

The bone dish features the double classic green band around the edge with Fairmont in a banner below a star, crescent moon and twisted line in a blue teardrop.  There were several hotels by this name in the US, including the famous Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco, one in Fairmont, WV, another if Jersey City, and another in Tannersville, NY.  I haven't tracked down which, if any, this came from as it may have also been from a restaurant by that name.

The scalloped bone dish measures approx. 6 inches by 3 1/4 inches in the traditional bone dish shape.  It was made by OPCO Syracuse China, dating from 1897-1946, as there is no date code.

There is a tiny flake off the bottom edge plus some dots of grit under the glaze which was done during the manufacturing process.  It is a lighter, more delicate weight than the normal restaurant china.

Thanks for looking and please see 3 pictures.
