Love these polka dots! Shenango China manufactured this set circa 1930s-1948.
The oversize saucer measures 7 inches in diameter and the indentation in the well for the cup is off-center to allow for dainty pastries or cookies.
The footed cup stands 3 1/4 inches tall. The shape is unusual for Shenango, imitating Syracuse's Dolphin-style cup manufactured for railroads to eliminate spillage. The handle too has a pretty design.
Both pieces have a white body with a fun dark red/maroon polka dot pattern accented by a matching line. Excellent condition!
