TRADER VIC'S Dinner Plate ~ 1959 Sterling China

$30.00

Sterling China manufactured this 9 7/8 inch dinner plate in 1959 for Trader Vic's.

This Polynesian-themed restaurant chain was established in Oakland, California in the 1930s. The first franchise was in 1949 in Seattle, Washington and at its peak, there were 25 restaurants around the world. It was considered the first themed chain. Tiki items decorated the restaurants and tropical drinks were a favorite.

This plate has tiki at the top of the plate with Trader Vic's on either side in black and brown. No chips, cracks or hairlines. There are a few stacking scuffs and some black marks on the back, done during the manufacturing process. Please see pix.

Great example from Trader Vic's!
