I called this a teapot but it's really a hot water pot with a wider spout. The matching teapot would have a longer spout. It's the exact shape of a Buffalo marked piece and, being black, a backstamp wouldn't show.
The pot stands approx. 4 1/2 inches tall to the finial on the lid. No chips, cracks or hairlines. Moderate service wear.
Nice pot to use or display with your other teapots.
