BOWMAN Hotels Cup / Saucer by Buffalo China ~ Greek Key

This cup and saucer set was made for Bowman Hotel Companies by Buffalo China. The chain included the Atlanta and Los Angeles Biltmore Hotels, the Sevilla Biltmore in Havana, the Commodore in NYC and more.

The pattern is a dainty stylized Greek key design in pale blue with the cup having gold accent stripes inside and down the handle.

The saucer measures 6 inches across and the squatty coffee cup stands 2 1/8 inches tall. Both pieces are in excellent condition, showing little wear. Even the gold is good!

Both pieces are backstamped with the hotel name and also the distributor, Kniffin & Demarest Co. The Buffalo backstamp dates from 1915-1940's.
