S&S CAFETERIA Plate ~ Jackson 1974 - GA Chain

The first S&S Cafeteria opened in Columbus, Georgia in 1936. Started by J.A. Smith Jr., this chain offers fresh southern food cafeteria-style. Locations are found in Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee and formerly in Florida and Virginia.

The 8 inch plate features the familiar S&S shield in brown with a rust ribbon at the top. Jackson China manufactured this plate in 1974. No chips, cracks or hairlines and moderate to heavy utensil use in the well. Plenty of glaze left!
