Here is a bowl from the New York Yacht Club. Founded in 1844, the club is based both in New York City and Newport, Rhode Island.
The bowl features the burgee of the club of a blue field with red cross and white star. It also includes anothe flag, blue ground, four white stars with black I inside a diamond, which I'm assuming is a yacht docked at the yacht club. Mayer China manufactured this 6 1/2 inch cereal or grapefruit bowl. No chips, cracks or hairlines and just a few stacking scuffs in the well. Moderate wear to the gold.
