This vintage bowl was made for the
Rochester, NY Masonic Temple by
Mayer China circa 1920-1930's. The bowl features the Rochester Masonic Temple in black at the top of the bowl. Circling the rim are 2 matching black pinstripes.
The temple laid its cornerstone in 1928 and was dedicated in 1930 with much fanfare. Built at a cost of over $2,000,000, its Art Deco interior consisted of ceremonial meeting rooms, offices and an auditorium. It is now known as Auditorium Theatre.
The 7 1/4 inch coupe style bowl is in excellent condition showing little use. No chips, cracks or hairlines. It is approx. 1 3/8 inches deep.
Great piece of Masonic history! Thanks for looking.
