CHALFONTE-HADDON HALL Oval Baker S/4 Mayer China 1963

$8.00

Mayer China manufactured this set of 4 oval bakers in 1963 for Chalfonte-Haddon Hall, Atlantic City.  They were furnished by John Wanamaker of Philadelphia.

Chalfonte-Haddon Hall began life as two separate structures. Chalfonte in 1868 and Haddon Hall in 1893. The two hotels eventually merged. It became a casino in 1976 and was demolished in 1980 to make a parking lot for Resorts Atlantic City.

The baker or side bowl measures approx. 5 3/4 by 4 1/2 inches. The design is a simple hand painted border in rust. Pristine unused condition. Very slight manufacturing defect in the well under the glaze and barely noticeable on just one piece. Nicely backstamped with the hotel name and date.

Nice addition to any New Jersey or casino memorabilia collection. Thanks for looking and please see all 3 pictures.
