FORT-SIDE Oval Platter ~ Early John Wanamaker Distributor

$10.00

This oval platter or relish tray features an unusual topmark. An image of a fort in brown and marked Fort-Side below and surrounded by a laurel wreath in green. I've been unable to track down which hotel or restaurant used this piece. Red and green stripes outline the verge of the piece, which measures 10x5 inches. The John Wanamaker backstamp dates to the 1920s but there is no maker's mark to identify the manufacturer. I'd guess Scammell but that's strictly a guess.

For its age, it's in excellent condition, showing very little wear. Great shape to use everyday.

Thanks for looking!
