This flip-top sugar bowl was manufactured by Hall China, although not marked as such. The base is marked Utilities Specialities Co. Inc., Jersey City, N.J., U.S.A. This company was a manufacturer and distributor of restaurant supplies.
The maroon base has a white interior and stands 3 inches tall. The chrome lid is also marked Utilities Specialties Co., Jersey City, N.J. although I was unable to capture a good shot of it. The lid measures 4 5/8 inches in diameter.
The Hall China base shows a few minor scratches but no chips or cracks. The chrome lid shows quite a bit of wear and was well-used over the years.
Hall flip-tops don't come around that often so don't miss adding this one to your collection.
