INDIAN TREE Butter Keeper or Bell ~ Bauscher Weiden

$20.00

Here is an unusual butter keeper, also known as a butter bell, in the Indian Tree pattern.

The base stands 2 3/4 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches in diameter. The lid features the inverted bell shape with 9 holes in it to allow water to circulate near the butter as well as to prevent suction from removing the butter when the top is taken off. Both pieces feature the Indian Tree pattern in shades of green and dark orange.

Although the French butter keepers are common, this piece is vitrified china which is commerical or restaurant ware. Bauscher Weiden is the manufacturer. Perfect in every way!

It would make a nice "go with" in any railroad collection with Pullman pieces.

Thanks for looking.
