British Airways HEATHROW Plate ~ Royal Doulton

Royal Doulton manufactured this plate for British Airways. The pattern name is Heathrow (BAW-5) and it was first used in 1989 when the airline enhanced their first class service.

The gorgeous plate features a blue speckled band trimmed in gold on a white ground. The backstamp is marked British Airways with the Royal Doulton lion logo. The plate measures 7 1/2 inches. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines to this vintage plate and moderate wear to the gold rim and moderate utensil marks.
