Green Striped PICKLE DISH ~ G.H. Jenkinson, Sioux City

Here's a great piece of the ever popular green striped china. This pickle dish is shell-shaped with double green stripes and accent marks. The white dish has an embossed shell design and scalloped rim. It measures approx. 7 3/4 by 4 1/2 inches. It's in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. It hardly looks used at all.

Marked on the back is Vitrified China, G. H. Jenkinson Co., Sioux City, Iowa, 13. The Jenkinson Company was located at 309-311 Nebraska Street and opened circa 1906 as a manufacturing business. They later became a supplier of equipment and fixtures for hotels, restaurants, soda fountains and more and offered china, glass and silver ware, etc.

Although not marked, McNicol China supplied china to G.H. Jenkinson Co. in the 1920s so it's possible that this pickle dish was made by McNicol.
