P in SHIELD Sugar Bowl ~ 1952 Mayer ~ Maroon & Black!

This sugar bowl was made by Mayer China in 1952. It features a handpainted maroon design accented with black bands on both the bowl and lid. On the side is a crown and shield with P inside in black. The maroon color is a bit deeper than my pictures show.

The bowl stands 3 3/4 inches tall to the top of the finial and approx. 4 3/4 inches in diameter. Excellent condition! Marked restaurant ware sugar bowls don't come along that often so don't miss adding this to your diner collection.
