PRINCESS MARTHA Sugar Bowl ~ McNicol

$75.00

This gorgeous covered sugar bowl was made for the Princess Martha Hotel in St. Petersburg, FL. It was built circa 1925 during the Florida land boom and originally called Mason Hotel. It was recently turned into apartments for seniors.

The bowl features the name of the hotel with a palm tree in a brown circular design on the side. The Oakmont floral pattern in shades of green, brown and blue accents both the bowl and lid.

McNicol China of Clarksburg, W. VA. manufactured this sugar bowl between 1931-1960s, according to the backstamp. The bowl stands 3 1/2 inches tall and approx. 4 3/4 inches in diameter. Excellent condition. No chips, cracks or hairlines. Slight discoloration on the knob.

Very hard to find serving piece from one of St. Petersburg's historic hotels.

Thanks for looking!
