I love the shape of these open sugar bowls. This one, made by Scammell around 1928-1930, features a calming seaside view of water, sky and greenery with rust accent lines. Or at least that's what it looks like to me. Would love to see a dinner plate with the complete pattern.
The sugar bowl, also called room service sugar, measures approx. 3 3/4 inches in length, 3 inches in width and stands 2 1/2 inches tall. So perfect it almost looks unused. I can just see a whole row of these lined up on a shelf in a collection. Hmmm...maybe I should start collecting these!
Grab this one while you can!
