TEMPLE University Hospital Sugar Bowl ~ Silverplate

$25.00

Here's a great little open sugar bowl used at Temple University Hospital. This hospital, located in Philadelphia, was founded in 1892 by Dr. Russell Conwell as a 20-bed facility. Today, TUH is a 617-bed tertiary medical center.

WALLACE manufactured this silverplate sugar bowl. There is a patent date of April 3, 1928 on the bottom but no other date to indicate when it was made. Also stamped on the bottom is Temple Univ. Hosp. The double handled bowl stands just 2 inches tall and is in excellent condition. There is moderate service wear but no pitting or loss of silverplate on this dandy little piece. It's suprisingly heavy too at about 1/2 pound.

Don't miss this great old silverplate sugar bowl. Great gift idea for collectors of early Pennsylvania history. Thanks for looking and please see both pictures.
