GREYHOUND Post House Platter ~ Syracuse1956

$2.00

Here is a platter from the dining room of a Greyhound station. Established in 1940, Post House offered both food and companionship to travelers and locals alike. Most of the Post Houses were open 24 hours so they became gathering places for nightowls and people on the nightshift.

Syracuse China manufactured this oval platter in 1956.  It measures approx. 12 1/2 by 8 1/4 inches, a larger size than normally found. The platter features an airbrushed blue verge and the well known horse and carriage logo is in the well.

The platter has a crack all the way through on the diagonal.  It would still display nicely. The logo is crisp and clear!

Don't miss this chance to add a piece of America's bus history to your collection today. Thanks for looking.
