Here are nifty pieces of vintage restaurant ware! The 9 inch dinner plates, made by Homer Laughlin and datecoded 1976, feature the famous Big Boy logo.
Elias Brothers bought the right to operate Elias Brothers Big Boy Restaurants in Michigan in 1952.
The plates feature a mustard floral pattern around the rim with the famous Big Boy logo at the 12 o'clock position. Each plate is in unused condition with just a few stacking marks in the well but each has some kind of manufacturer defect, such as a firing separation on the bottom or rim. The plates weigh a hefty 1 1/2 pounds!
